Description The Advanced Cardiac Life Support for the Experienced Provider (ACLS-EP) course uses a case-based curriculum to teach emergency resuscitation principles to experienced health care professionals. This article describes the adaptation of the ACLS-EP curriculum to be used in a family medicine training programme in Rwanda, including lessons learned and recommendations for future use of this material for emergency care education in the African setting. Le cours d’ ‘Advanced Cardiac Life Support for the Experienced Provider’ (ACLS-EP) utilise un curriculum d’étude de cas pour enseigner les principes de réanimation d'urgence à des professionnels de santé expérimentés. Cet article décrit l'adaptation du curriculum ACLS-EP dans le cadre d’ un training en médecine familiale au Rwanda, relève les leçons apprises, et énumère des recommandations pour l’ utilisation future de ce programme pour la formation en soins d'urgence en Afrique.
