Description The aim of this article is to provide practical guidance on conducting surveys and the use of questionnaires for postgraduate students at a Masters level who are undertaking primary care research. The article is intended to assist with writing the methods section of the research proposal and thinking through the relevant issues that apply to sample size calculation, sampling strategy, design of a questionnaire and administration of a questionnaire. The articleis part of a larger series on primary care research, with other articles in the series focusing on the structure of the research proposal and the literature review, as well as quantitative data analysis. L’objectif de cet article est de fournir des directives pratiques pour la réalisationde sondages et l’utilisation de questionnaires, directives destinées aux étudiants de troisième cycle en année de Master qui mènent des recherches sur les soins de santé primaire. L’article est destiné à les aider à rédiger la section méthodologique de leur proposition de recherche et à réfléchir aux questions pertinentes relatives au calcul de la dimension de l’échantillon,à la stratégie d’échantillonnage, à l’élaboration d’un questionnaire et à son administration. L’article fait partie d’une série dédiée à la recherche sur les soins de santé primaire, et, commed’autres articles composant cette série, traite essentiellement de la structure de la proposition de recherche, de l’étude bibliographique, et de l’analyse quantitative des données.
