Br. is discussed; two subspecies are recognized, one of which, subsp. rhodesiaca Leach, is described here, and details of their synonymy, variation and distribution are given. Two putative intergeneric hybrids, with C. caudata one parent, are assumed and from the evidence submitted the identity of one of these with Stapelia tarantuloides R. A. Dyer is adduced. | |
