Description The ontogeny and morphology of the seed and fruit of Momordica balsamina L. are discussed in detail and compared with some of the relevant literature. Cucurbitaceous ovules are usually described as anatropous but, according to this study, at least those of some taxa should be regarded as circinotropous.
