Description Nocturnal petal movements were recorded from 48 genera and 106 species growing in cultivation at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and in the wild in Canada, Great Britain, France, Italy, Greece, Canary Islands and South Africa. Seven different night positions of petals, as distinct from day positions, are recognized and discussed.
