| Description | Today’s problems stem from yesterday’s solutions to those problems. After tracing the origins of today’s problems from the French Revolution, the evolutionary phases of health-care development (in any country) is outlined. We are, in the RSA. now entering the third phase where emphasis should be on management and organisation. The greatest scarcity is the Academic Physician. Cost benefit and cost effectiveness are considered, with an algorithm for time-advantageous choices, which are then considered. Finally some heuristic thoughts on educational management and control are presented. Huidige probleme spruit uit vorige oplossings vir daardie probleme. Nadat die oorsprong van huidige probleme nagespeur is tot by die Franse Rewolusie, word die evolusionere fases van gesondheidsorgontwikkeling (in enige land) omskryf. Ons betree tans, in die RSA, die derdefase waar die klem moet val op bestuur en organisasie. Die Akademiese Geneesheer is die skaarsste. Kostevoordeel en kostedoeltreffendheid word oorweeg, met ’n algor it me vir tydsvoordelige keuses, wat vervolgens in besonderhede oorweeg word. Ten slotte word enkele heuristieke gedagtes oor opvoedkundige bestuur en beheer aangebied. | |
