Description | “The relevancy to the African of a Calvnist cosmoscope (or life- and world-view)” is not an easy topic. However difficult it may be, it is nevertheless a subject of the utmost importance today for Christianity in Africa. I have two particular problems in mind: Africanization and Calvinism. Basically the questin before us is this: Can the Calvinist (or Reformed) view of life advance the indigenization or Africanization of the Gospel? Can the Reformed approach help bring about a real Biblical, but at the same time fully African, Christianity? Many, I know, will immediately answer the question with a denial. We, however, shall take a closer view. | |
