Description The laryngeal behaviour of an adult stutter pre- and post-therapy intervention comprised a fluency based program directed to the modification of phonatory behaviour and rate reduction. Electrolaryngographic tracing, as well as severity and frequency rating, were obtained pre- and post-intervention. Results revealed a marked change in all measurements post-intervention, indicating the effectiveness of therapy. The efficacy of the electro-laryngograph as a measurement tool was illustrated and the results are considered in the light of the current literature on phonatory, disturbance in stuttering.
