Description Annual landings of fishes trawled demersally in the vicinity of the Tsitsikamma Coastal National Park increased by almost 75 between 1977 and 1979. Catches of sole Austroglossus pectoralis showed a large decrease over the same period, but catch rates for other species remained relatively constant suggesting that they have not yet been overexploited. Hake Merluccius capensis and horse mackerel Trachurus trachurus dominated the landings in all three years.
