Description Freedom of religion is a basic human right and is acknowledged as such in Christian ethics. The application of religious freedom may, however, not lead to a reduction of Christian faith and doctrine: it should also not result in a society with 'freedom from religion'. Christians should be able to manifest their religious beliefs in teaching, practice, worship, observance, missionary activity and evangelism.
