Description | Non-arteritic anterior ischaemic optic neuropathy (NA-AION) is a common cause of sudden, unilateral, painless vision loss in people over the age of 50 years. The purpose of this article was to report a case of NA-AION in a 56-year-old black man with reduced vision in the left eye. The patient had relative afferent pupillary defect and diffuse papilledema in the left eye, but no visual symptoms and/or associated risk factors. Correct diagnosis is essential. | |
